A practical, family-focused session designed to give you confidence in managing common childhood emergencies and illnesses before professional help arrives.

Hands-on guidance on how to respond to unresponsive infants and children, with practice to build confidence. - 
Managing Temperatures & Fevers:
When to worry, what’s safe, and when to seek medical care. - 
Environmental Exposure:
Recognising and managing heat stress, hypothermia, and sun exposure. - 
Seizures:
How to recognise febrile and other seizures, what to do during an episode, and when to call an ambulance. - 
Gastrointestinal Illness:
Signs of dehydration, safe hydration techniques, and when to escalate. - 
Urinary Tract & Ear Infections:
Symptoms to look out for, comfort measures, and when to see a doctor. - 
Asthma, Anaphylaxis & Respiratory Infections:
Identifying breathing difficulties, using asthma inhalers, understanding allergic reactions, and responding to respiratory distress. - 
Drowning & Submersion:
Immediate steps to take, prevention tips, and when to initiate CPR. - 
Choking & Suffocation:
How to respond to partial and complete airway obstruction for babies and children. - 
Burns & Scalds:
Effective first aid for minor and major burns, plus when to seek urgent care. - 
Poisoning:
What to do if a child swallows medications, cleaning products, or unknown substances. - 
Fractures & Pulled Elbow:
Recognising breaks and joint injuries, safe handling, and what to do while waiting for medical help. - 
Head Injuries:
Assessing bumps and knocks, red flags for concussion, and safe monitoring at home. -
